What is eBL?

An Electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) is a digital version of the traditional paper bill of lading – a key document in international trade and shipping.

Bill of Lading is a transport document specific to sea freight shipments.  It details a list of the ship's cargo in the form of a receipt given by the master of the ship to the person consigning the goods. It is a special document as it indicates title to the goods.  The eBL is a digital version of the paper document.
