What is DDP?

Delivered duty paid (DDP) is a shipping agreement that places the maximum responsibility on the seller.

One of the Incoterms ® rules that divide transport, costs and risk obligations between buyers and sellers.  Like DAP, the seller pays for the transport and beard the risk of loss or damage to the named place in the buyer’s country but under DDP the seller has to undertake the import formalities in the buyer’s country and pay any import duty/taxes.
